For over 500 years, Black Mesa in Arizona had been the home of Navajo and Hopi peoples.Until John McCain helped sponsor and later push through a law resulting in the stripping of property rights and forced removal of 10,000 Native American residents and their relocation to Nevada. The reason? So big coal mining companies could move in and set up shop.
