Palin's Petty Revenge Just Like McCain
John McCain threw everyone a curve ball today and picked Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate. Palin was not on anyone's list as a potential pick and shows McCain is looking to pick up any unhappy Hillary supporters who are idiotic enough to vote for more of the same.
CNN brings us more: "The 44-year-old Palin is the first woman and the youngest person to hold that state's governor's post. She catapulted to the state's top political post after a stint in local politics, serving as mayor and a council member of the small town of Wasila."
And of course there is the cronyism expected from a Republican: "She is under investigation for her firing of a state official, Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan. She has been instructed to hand over documents and recordings of telephone conversations as part of the probe, which grew out of allegations she sacked Monegan for refusing to fire her former brother-in-law from the state police."
So she had a grudge against her former brother-in-law, perhaps for simply divorcing her sister, and decides he should be fired. When the brother-in-law's boss wouldn't fire him, she fired the boss. That's the same type of b.s. petty revenge McCain is famous for.
I'm sure there's record of more corruption and controversy by Palin that will be uncovered over the next few days. She is a Republican, after all, and the entire GOP sold their souls years ago.
UPDATE: Brave New Films already have a list of 21 reasons why McCain's VP pick is hilarious. A few are over the top insulting, but the rest are relevant.
