Rape Victims Lash Out at Sarah Palin

SaysMe.tv is a new service that offers people the chance to run television commercials on any subject in any market. They are starting to roll out ads featuring rape victims who are against Sarah Palin. Palin (and McCain) want to ban all abortions, in all cases, even for rape victims.

A side note: Palin and McCain also make rape victims pay an average of $1200 for forensic rape kits to collect DNA from the rapist. Joe Biden has fought McCain for over 20 years on the issue, and McCain (and Palin) continue to want rape victims to pay out of pocket for a test law enforcement or local health care should cover.

SaysMe.tv offers people the opportunity to donate to run this ad (or any ad) in any market they choose. To see how it works I went there and entered my zip code, then chose an ad I wanted to run and looked at the prices. The lowest price where I live, in a Chicago suburb was $22 for a 30 second ad running between 9 AM and 4 PM on my choice of several national cable networks (Hallmark, Headline News, Animal Planet, Oxygen, SciFi, etc.). You have to purchase a minimum of $100 of ads. $100 spent running ads might get the message out to more people than the equivalent donation to a candidate or charity.

Here is the first ad from Women Against McCain Palin (WAMP) and SaysMe.tv:
