Obama Responds Quickly to the "Guns & Religion" Outrage

"John McCain - it took him three tries to finally figure out the the home foreclosure crisis was a problem and to come up with a plan for it, and he's saying I'm out of touch? Senator Clinton voted for a credit card sponsored bankruptcy bill that made it harder for people to get out of debt after taking money from the financial services companies, and she's saying I'm out of touch? No I'm in touch. I know exactly what's going on. I know what's going on in Pennsylvania. I know what's going on in Indiana. I know what's going on in Illinois. People are fed up. They're angry, and they're frustrated, and their bitter, and they want to see a change in Washington, and that's why Im running for President of the United States of America."

Transcript: What Obama Really Said shows He Understands.

"But the truth is, our challenge is to get people persuaded that we can make progress when there’s not evidence of that in their daily lives. You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. They feel so betrayed by government." Hit the link to read what Obama said, in context, and don't fall for the Clinton/McCain spin. Obama is not an elitist. Obama wasn't the one making 100 million dollars in the last 8 years, or taking undisclosed gifts, plane rides, and vacations to a private resort in the Bahamas.

Have a Coke and a Smile!

Coke machines always have held a place in our collective hearts, more so than any other brand of soda.

A Vintage Coca Cola Machine is more affordable than one would expect and makes a great addition to any family room or garage.

Our new sponsor, AntiqueCocaCola.com carries a full selection of Coke machines from the 1930's to present day. My personal favorite are the 1950's Coke machines.

When Senator John McCain was asked here this afternoon how he plans to balance the budget, he said that he hoped to do so by stimulating economic growth like Ronald Reagan. Louisiana Lawmakers Consider Castration for Sex Offenders

The bill by Senator Nick Gautreaux, an Abbeville Democrat, requires a judge to order treatment for certain second-offense sex criminals with a specific drug designed to diminish male sexual urges — if a medical expert agrees that the treatment would be effective. The hell with using drugs. I'm for capitol punishment, first and foremost. You're found guilty of a sex crime? Death penalty on the spot. If society is too weak to accept a death penalty than at least castrate these bastards and give them life.

New Book: McCain Physically Attacked Fellow Congressman

How much of McCain's legendary anger streak does the public actually know? Judging from snippets of Cliff Schecter's new book "The Real McCain" - an advanced copy of which was obtained by the Huffington Post - the answer may be surprisingly little. Not only did McCain throw punches at a fellow Congressmen, he had this expression of love for his wife:

"Three reporters from Arizona, on the condition of anonymity, also let me in on another incident involving McCain's intemperateness. In his 1992 Senate bid, McCain was joined on the campaign trail by his wife, Cindy, as well as campaign aide Doug Cole and consultant Wes Gullett. At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain's hair and said, "You're getting a little thin up there." McCain's face reddened, and he responded, "At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you cunt." McCain's excuse was that it had been a long day. If elected president of the United States, McCain would have many long days."
