GOP Re-Writes Texas Schoolbooks To Emphasize Conservative Whites

Republicans in Texas have struck down centuries of teaching in the state, rewriting school textbooks to feature their own whacked-out beliefs. The GOP appears to have taken a cue from the likes of Yasser Arafat, the PLO terrorist who had the school textbooks of "Palestinian" students re-written to give a false history of the "country" and plant inciteful lies about Jews.

Some of the things the Texas GOP could no longer allow innocent students to be taught include Thomas Jefferson's role in Enlightenment thinking, and the Separation of Church and State. Perhaps the most offensive is that the U.S. Government will no longer be called a democracy, instead will be called a "Constitutional Government", which is hypocrisy in it's finest form, given Bush/Rove's hatred of the Constitution and those annoying things called "human rights" that it guarantees.

Also to be removed from school plans: Hip-Hop music, equality of religions, and preserving the legacy of Senator Joe McCarthy - the same guy who ruined the careers and lives of thousands of innocent people he tried to destroy in his Communist witch hunts. Students will also now learn about the "Conservative Resurgence" of the 1980's and 1990's, while downplaying and dismissing minority and liberal movements. Most references to "capitalism" have been removed from textbooks, and replaced with "free enterprise", which does not have the same negative connotation. The late Senator Ted Kennedy and the first Hispanic on the U.S. Supreme Court, Sonia Sotomayor, will be removed from textbooks while Ronald Reagan will get more attention. The GOP also decided that all references to Hispanics who fought on the U.S. side at the Battle of the Alamo will be removed. After all, this is White History for White People. And by the time Texas students graduate from high school, they'll be Dumb White People.
