FOX NEWS Gets Osama bin Laden Death Wrong

Can we be amazed anymore by Fox News mis-reporting facts?

FoxNews.com reported, in their story, Usama Bin Laden Is Dead,

"Usama bin Laden is dead, putting an end to the worldwide manhunt that began nearly a decade ago on Sept. 11, 2001. The architect of the deadliest terror attack on U.S. soil was killed a week ago inside Pakistan by a U.S. bomb."

According to President Barack Obama, Bin Laden was killed today, not a week ago, in a firefight with U.S. special operations troops, not by a bomb.

CNN is now reporting the operation was conducted by a small team of Navy Seals.

Par for the course. Unfortunately people who watch Fox News won't be swayed by facts.

I noticed this too, but then Fox said that he was killed in a firefight today, and then changed the link to this page to reflect that. Doesn't excuse the fact that they still got it wrong to begin with. They probably only got it right after watching CNN.

They were still reporting this even after the president clearly said when and how it happened. They were also reporting the wrong city. They were streaming it on their ticker that "several of their sources" were reporting it was last week even while there were several people clearly saying it was the same day.

Icky, thank you for once again being the voice of reason and shining the light of truth on the infidels at FOX News. Sadly, as a previous poster said, some people "won't be swayed by facts". Even worse, I have seen posts claiming that since there is a discrepancy between what the President said and what the news reported, there must be some kind of government cover up... Talk about backing the wrong horse. Barack Obama or FOX News, Navy Seals or a guy in a turban: I know who I'd bet on.

They also said the town was 65 miles north of the capital when it is actually 35. I watched CNN and then switched to fox for a laugh.
